Thank you so much for your support! On August 5^th, the voters of the 27^th house district overwhelmingly elected me as the Democratic candidate to run in the November 4th General Election.

Your support was the key to my victory and for that, I am truly grateful.

I look forward to representing our community and bringing issues such as stem cell research, health care, public transit, and renewable energy to the forefront of political debate in Lansing.

I also want to thank my husband, Marc, and my children, Corey and Celia, who have been so incredibly supportive throughout this campaign.

Ellen Cogen Lipton is a patent attorney, wife, mother, and community activist. She lives with her husband of fifteen years, Marc, and their two children, Corey, nine, and Celia, five. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Williams College and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
