  • A message from Ellen:

    Dear Friend,

My first year as State Representative is almost coming to a close! It has been an exciting but challenging experience. I want to thank you for the support you have shown me. I have enjoyed serving the citizens of the Twenty-Seventh district for the past two years.

As you know, our state is undergoing a very difficult transition period. This is most apparent when I hear individual stories at community meetings, coffee hours, and town halls of the hardships that families are going through; however, mixed in with the struggles are hope and determination that Michigan will recover.

I decided to run for State Representative to help foster Michigan’s turn-around. I believe we need to place a high priority on education for our children, I see the value in safe and vibrant communities that embrace diversity, and I believe Michigan can create an environment to incubate the technologies and businesses of tomorrow.
With your continued support I look forward to working hard to fix Lansing and making our great state the best place to live, work and raise a family.

    Sincerely,

    Ellen Cogen Lipton

    Democratic Candidate, 27th House District
